About the Westside Review

Westside Review will be a quarterly magazine covering Chicago’s great Westside communities. As work on the magazine continues, we will use this Substack to publish articles and other updates. Stay tuned.

Who are those people, anyway?

Westside Review is a brainchild of Vanessa Stokes, artist, nonprofit consultant and organizer well known throughout the West Side of Chicago (and beyond). Long-time West Side journalist Igor Studenkov was brought on board to edit the magazine and help put the whole thing together.
